Automobile Lamborghini S.p.A. more commonly known as Lamborghini was founded in 1963. It was owned by Ferruccio Lamborghini. Lamborghini is known as an automobile manufacturer of luxurious sports cars, world-renowned for creating high-performance, classy, high-velocity sport cars that compete fiercely with Ferrari. It has gained superiority over models like the four-seat Espada and many other V8 sports cars. It is the company’s mid-engine super cars that have actually earned the fame enjoyed by the company. It is based in the small Italian village of Sant’Agata Bolognese, near Bologna. The car company was said to be a rival of Ferrari, also a famous Italian sports car manufacturer.
In a background, Ferruccio Lamborghini was a successful tractor producer in 1940s. His keen interest in sports cars led him into buying various high-performance vehicles such as Maseratis and Ferraris. However, it decided to put up his private company and Lamborghini cars were born.
The Lamborghini logo bears the performance of its cars among other car logos. It was created taking inspiration from Taurus, the bull zodiac sign of the company’s founder. His passion for bull fighting was also reflected through the Lamborghini logo and car models that were named after famous bulls.
The shape of the Lamborghini logo depicts coat of arms and demonstrates a gold snorting bull on the front. The logo was symbolical like other car logos. The bull represents consistency, power and fortitude. Being a maker of high-quality sports cars, the logo possesses immense recognition globally along with other car logos.
The company had been into several challenges and was sold to different companies, but it continues to survive. Today, the company is a subsidiary of Audi AG, a German automobile company. Engine and automobile production runs side by side on their ancestral home, and 3,000 cars are in line for production each year. It released Lamborghini Aventador on February 2011 last year.
