The Maruti Suzuki logo has undergone changes over the years like other car logos. The logo was repositioned as well as the tag line. In the earlier logo, the names of the two companies were on top of each other. However, the new Maruti Susuki logo shows the names of the two companies side by side. The font used is the same; but the color becomes brighter, which adds more life than other car logos. The tag line of the earlier version read ‘Count On Us’ but has now been changed to ‘Way Of Life’ in the new logo. With the new look Maruti Suzuki logo made it more brilliant for other car logos in the market.
Aside from the evolution of a new logo, the Maruti Suzuki Company in India offers a wide range of car models; each model is designed according to the segment that it belongs to. The various car models are Maruti 800, People Movers, Omni and Eeco, International Brands Alto, Alto-K10, A-star, WagonR, Swift, Ritz and Estilo, Off-Roader Gypsy, SUV Grand Vitara, Sedans SX4, Swift DZire and Kizashi. In August 2010, Maruti Suzuki took an initiative to produce environmental friendly cars and hence introduced factory fitted CNG option in five of its models, in the vehicle segments. These include Eeco, Alto, Estilo, Wagon R and Sx4. To compete with the demands of low budget cars, the Maruti Suzuki Company in India is proposing to launch a car, which will meet the needs of the middle-class families.
With the rise in sales and market demands, the company plans to expand its manufacturing capacity to 1.75 million by 2013.
